Jennerican Founders: The Spitzigs

Kelvin and Aoife were rescued from the original Jennerica. Kelvin was an alien baby born to my self Sim. I wasn't going to let my SelfSim reproduce but I can't refuse alien babies. Glad I didn't, because a) he's adorable and b) he's fun to play.

In the original Jennerica, he married Hailey Spitzig after they finished college together, and they had wee Aoife. I was going to skip extracting Hailey and Aoife until I saw this:

No, not her eating sand. I extracted her because she has a human skintone but alien eyes. I've been playing TS2 since it was released, and I always bred alien Sims lik e mad just for this combination, and it finally showed up when I'm about to destroy the neighborhood. Thankfully I extracted her before my game blew up. (And yes, I know I could have saved myself years of hoping by just creating an CAS "alien grandbaby" with this combination, but it felt like cheating.)

So here's a bit more about the individual Spitzigs.

Kelvin is genetically predisposed to wearing glasses, thanks to his tremendously near-sighted mum. He's a Popularity Sim who's kinda sloppy (like his mum), really shy (like his mum), super active (I assume the alien in him caused that) and extremely playful (like his mum squared). He's not particularly nice or grouchy.

Turn-ons include vampirism and good cooks; turn-off is gray hair. His added traits are: faithful/loyal, young at heart (a variant of my  TS3 childish trait) and green thumb (?! So not like his mum.) His favorite color is blue and he loves cereal. Probably because that's the only thing his mom could make without burning. (Okay, SimSelf is a great cook, probably because she's immortal and has time to kill, but I'm not either of those things.)

In the original Jennerica, he had a half-sister from his alien side, which will be another founder of a different household. Their siblinghood will be preserved in the current 'hood.

Aoife is cuteness supreme. Like her auntie, who will be introduced next post, she is a grouchy genius. Aoife inherited her daddy's shyness, activeness, and playfulness, except she is less extreme about the traits. Fortunately, she's neater than her father. She loves animals, pizza, and the color silver.

The family will be starting with §20,000.

Since I'm starting over, I've decided to extract and share as many Sims as possible. This is mostly for my use, as I like the idea of backups everywhere but you can enjoy the benefits, too!

All is not lost after all, I'm glad you got (and saved) the little cutie :)

Me, too! I aged her up in body shop, and she turns out nicely. I just wonder what she'll do with her life.

I'm glad that you were able to save them and I hope they enjoy their new lives :)

I am glad as well. I wonder how different they'll wind up being from the old 'hood.

Argh I've been on tumblr too much I wanted a like button or something.....but anyway very cute. I love that human skin/alien eye combo so much. The traits are amazing :)

I don't tumble (is that right?) but maybe this will help satisfy the urge?

And thank you! I'm really excited about them. I set out the RandomStuff program from MATY to generate 4 possible choices, and I pick the best 3 for the Sim. So far, so good.

I'm glad that you were able to continue playing with these Sims! :) I also like the additional traits that you've given them. I haven't heard of the RandomStuff program, but it sounds interesting -- thanks for mentioning it! I like to extend my Sim's attributes, as well, but I usually just go by their hobby and interests.

The program is available at MATY, but it doesn't come with the TS3 trait generator. It's incredibly easy to customize it, though, and I plan on sharing the trait file I made for the TS3 trait adaptations as soon as I write out explanations for each of them.

Thanks for providing these details, Untidyfan! :) I'd look forward to seeing your customized version.
