BaCC: The Coraline Charming Family, Week Six

Why isn't the bus driver driving the bus?

Coraline Charming wasted no time getting to know her neighbors in the cheap apartment complex where she had moved. Craig Ray was her neighbor before they had both moved out, but she took the opportunity to get to know him better.

She also took the opportunity to take his money.

Since Craig wasn't a good match for her, she went to Arik's Bandstand to spouse shop. Kelvin, a new citizen in New Jennerica, was flattered by her flirting, but he too was a poor match for Coraline.

After seeing no other eligible men at the club, Coraline made her way to her sister Carena's art shop. Once again, the pickings were slim, and she made a sour expression the entire time she drank her espresso.

Back home, Coraline spent some time with her sister while the Rays spent time outside enjoying the warm summer night.

Coraline remember an encounter she had with a nice fellow by the name of Talin Deppiesse, and invited him to visit.

Maybe it was just the warmth of the night going to her head, or maybe it was Talin's sweet shyness at seeing her in her pajamas, but Coraline decided that this was the perfect guy to share her first kiss.

She liked it a lot. They spent all night, talking, cuddling, and kissing.

They didn't part until Coraline realized she had to get ready for work the next morning.

She invited him over again the next night. She suggested that move in together, and spent another evening sharing other "firsts."

Prompted by the curiosity Coraline's suddenly exuberant daily phone call invoked, Annwn went to visit her daughter. She knew another of her little girls found a man she loved and would probably marry.

Talin left the women to their chattering and made friends with Serio Duddledom.

And after their guests had left, Talin popped the question.

Coraline barely managed to squeak out her affirmative answer before she had to run to bathroom. Was it the excitement at becoming engaged or something else?

Coraline shared her suspicions with Talin, and they married that next evening.

The wedding party was small, consisting of Serio, Annwn, and Talin's old friend Ethan Barrett.

The landlady was also invited, but she spent most of her time tending to her apartments.

Serio always loved weddings and the love they celebrated, and was overjoyed he could witness such a beautiful event. Ethan was also quite pleased for his friend, glad to see a good, loyal man get hitched to a great woman. For Annwn, the event was bittersweet. Another of her daughters was gone, and while it cheered her to know Coraline was happy, she'd never be her little girl again.

The reception was modest, but much fun was had.

The karaoke machine was a big hit.

Even the mother of the bride took an enthusiastic crack at it!

Coraline, singing: My lumps, my lumps, my lovely baby bumps!

That's right, Coraline was truly pregnant. She spent a lot of her pregnancy displaying her happiness by singing karaoke. When she ran out of baby-related songs, she made up her own.

And on Sunday night, she went into labor.

Little Randall Deppiesse joined the happy home.

Playables: 50
Commercial lots: 5
College fund: $71354
Population: 250 (SM=5) (I double-checked the Sim Multiplier, and it's correct. 1 point for the BaCC itself, 1 point for the first commercial lot, and then 1 point for every five.)

So, a lot happened, but for some reason, I was very conservative with taking screenshots. Oh, well.

Coraline took Talin's last name, so next rotation, they'll be listed as the Deppiesses. They also moved into a single family residence, which you'll also see next rotation.
I'm feeling: accomplishedaccomplished

Caroline is certainly all grown up now!

And wow, 250 is a huge population, or is at least in BaCC terms :)

I'm so proud of her - first born native New Jennerican. She'll always have a place in my heart for that.

It feels big! I can't wait to unlock a business district, so I'll almost instantly be able to use most services, like nannies, grocery deliveries and maids!

Coraline and Talin make a cute couple. It may have taken her a little while to find him, but they make a good match. :)

Playing in apartments can be quite fun but certainly cramped for a growing family. I'm curious to see how Randall will look as a toddler.

And amusing that Coraline and Talin shared some other firsts while she was wearing the llama uniform. ;p That would be a good uniform for Duddledom's Darlings as well as the gorilla!

They really do. They have two bolts, but they're sweet enough for three!

You're so right about apartments and families. I don't know how anyone can manage it. I'd pull my hair out. This is a one bedroom, so it's practically impossible to raise a child here.

I am so doing that now! Cow mascot cashier, meet your new friend!

Your townies/NPCs are rather strange... I've never seen mine behave like that.

Awww, what a cute couple! I love their little wedding!

They are acting sort of strangely. It's cause for a little concern here. I've never seen the bus driver away from the bus, but she may have been another NPC.

Their little wedding was impromptu but a lot of fun. Thanks for reading!
