BaCC: The Cohen Family, Week Five

After a long day of farming, I love cuddling up with my lovely wife, Michelle.

Michelle has taken up farming herself. Simoleon farming, that is. She's hoping to obtain a few more plants so that she can really rake in the simoleons.

Overall, Michelle seems to be coping pretty well with being a farmer's wife. I really hope I can surprise her with the bakery soon. I think she'll love it.

It turns out she's a bit of a cinophile, too.

And the new Cohen on the way will keep her busy, too.

Since it was winter I couldn't go fishing, so in my spare time I went hiking. One day, I found a cute little gnome. If anyone steals him, well, I don't know what I'll do.

Life in New Jennerica isn't all fresh veggies and sunshine. There's no repair service, so I've got to handle all of that mess myself.

Sometimes, when Michelle was particularly tired, I would have to tend the Simoleon trees. Naturally, I turned the money over to Michelle. She manages the finances anyway.

Michelle gave birth on a snowy Wednesday afternoon.

It was a beautiful, healthy baby girl. We named her Annette.

Michelle and I got started on baby #2 right away. I'm hoping for a little boy.

Michelle also starting earning money by giving financial advice over the internet. She's quite clever with our household money, so any Sim seeking her advice will be quite fortunate.

Once the ground thawed, I started digging for treasure. My neighbors seem to have great luck in finding treasure chests, which is amazing because New Jennerica is completely landlocked. Maybe mountain pirates came down to bury their treasure in the deserted hills below?

Friday night was Annie's birthday.

She grew up to be a pretty girl, but a bit too curious for her own good.

But she's also one of the most cheerful toddlers I know.

Baby Cohen is growing fast, too. Michelle is already showing!

It worked! I found a treasure chest in my own front yard! The money was spent on more baby furniture and wallpapers for the house. Not having a regular salary is pretty tough sometimes. I'll never buy that bakery for Michelle at this rate.

The first harvest from the greenhouse was cucumbers.

I promptly sowed more seeds. This time I planted tomatoes. I'm hoping I'll be able to grow mouthwatering veggies soon.

I also bought some orchard trees.

I was outside fishing when I heard Michelle screaming.

I rushed inside to find this.

Michelle gave birth that night to little Wilhelm Cohen! I'm so happy to have a baby boy!

Isn't he handsome?

You have really good luck with having adorable offspring. :)

I also was amused to see the walls in their house kept changing as they slowly got more funds. ;) They have a really cute and quaint home.

My tips for getting a plant sim is to have lots of crops, no ladybug house and when one plant gets infected, let it spread to the others so he can have lots of plants to spray. :D

The walls, well... part of that was I installed engram_au's default wall replacement, and the other half was getting wallpaper finally, lol. I actually based the exterior on a dollhouse I had as a child. The interior layout is a bit different, since I'm not stuck accessing it from the back only.

More trees and letting the nasty bugs spread it is! I can't stand to let the poor things get infected, but if it's for PlantSimmishness, it's worth it.

I am pretty sure that plants inside a greenhouse never get bugs and he therefore will not be able to spray them in order to become a plantsim. That is my experience at least.
Annie is adorable. :)

I was wondering about that. I suppose that I'll expand the garden outside of the greenhouse next round, and buy a few more orchard trees. ETAThank you for your help - your tips have been quite valuable, and I don't know if I've given you a proper thank you.

Thank you! She's quite cheerful, and I'm pleased with the genetics she pulled from each parent.

Annette is such a beautiful name! And her face looks promising too, as those weird angles in toddlers usually make original faces later, in my game they do (unless we're talking Ottomas toddlers ^^).

Thank you! The random name generator spit it out, but it's my mother's name as well. I have similar experiences with angular faces on toddlers in my game, too. I haven't played the Ottomas family long enough to grow them up, which is weird because I always plunk them in a lot thinking I'll love their big family.
