BACC: The McCormick Family, Week Four

Janine McCormick, a Fortune Sim who wants to become a ballet dancer, was earned when Sela Sheedy purchased Bar: None. I don't recall her stats and turn-ons or turn-off off the top of my head. Her one true hobby is sports, despite what her aspiration would suggest.

Janine McCormick stood her new kitchen, well, new to her, staring at the green and white linoleum floors. She had updated the cabinets with pretty yellow paint (her favorite color) and new tiled countertops, but she hadn't yet found new linoleum for the kitchen.

She had purchased the house, complete with furniture, cheaply from an estate agent in Jennerica. Overall, she liked the previous owners' bright style, but she wanted to make her home her own.

Picking out the perfect flooring would have to wait until she took care of the more pressing tasks at hand.

The previous owners had been health food nuts, growing some of their own organic foods and stocking their shelves with edibles that made you feel a bit... sparkly.

Raking the leaves wasn't such a terrible chore, especially when you considered the fun you could have. Janine had a very child-like sense of joy and playfulness about her.

This wasn't to suggest that Janine couldn't be very mature at times. After all, she was a homeowner and a grown woman. She did want someone to share her home with her.

She was flirty with everyone equally: old guys...

Married women...

cranky men...1

Even odd tiptoeing women weren't immune to her advances.

Eventually Janine gave up trying to find Mr. or Ms. Perfect and looked for someone who would be a good partner.

Bruce and his overwhelming gullibility didn't make the cut.

Flirting wasn't the only thing on her mind. Trying to improve her body skill and dance enthusiasm were also very important, especially if she ever wanted to become a world class ballerina.

But pretty redheads are always distracting.

Truth was that Janine really, really wanted someone to share her dreams of fiscal success with on chilly winter nights and to cheer her up when her woes seemed to be too much to shoulder alone.

She went searching again.

Janine even went to the cemetery, saw that only married people hung out there smelling the flowers, and promptly called the taxi to leave.

She found Mr. Right in one of the last places she looked. Isn't that always how it goes?2

He even ignored his restocked duties to flirt with her.

Somewhere along the way, somebody gave Janine an eight thousand simoleon television set. She sold it and set it aside for the dance studio she wanted to purchase.

Scot Kwa came over on Thursday for a date. They did everything that night.

And we do mean everything.

Talin walked by and Janine had to make sure she was making the right choice by settling with Scot. After swiftly checking him out, she realized Scot was the better man for her.

This was reaffirmed by their very tender date that night.

That Saturday was a special day.

It was the day Janine proposed to Scot.

Knowing she was pregnant, Janine pushed to get married not long after that.

To mark the beginning of his life as a playable, Scot gave himself a haircut, which was greatly appreciated by all who beheld him.

Janine started to show early Sunday morning.

She spent the remainder of Sunday etching the words of her life onto the pages of her diary.4

Playables: 22
Commercial lots: 5
College fund: $11295 (Broke $10k! Yay!)
Population: 66 (SM=3)

1 Bruce Rauscher, you will marry into this neighborhood if it's the last thing I do.
2 Hahaha! Got you, Scot! (Mating townies is starting to feel like catching Pokemon)
3 Oh, good gravy, what a face! Let me reconsider adding your genes to my playable pool for a sec.
4 Literally, she etched them. Look closely and you'll see she's writing with a scalpel. Weird glitch.

Scot Kwa McCormick is also a fortune Sim. He wants to become SCIA head, which is never going to happen.
I'm feeling: tiredtired

Janine is adorable. I think her and Scot are really cute together as well.

She is! I'm glad I was able to marry Scot Kwa into the town so soon.

Lucky popular girl, to get such a nice tv! Hopefully she'll have her studio up and running, soon.

I wish I were popular like Janine. I think she'll be able to purchase it next week. I hope so, anyway.

Lol, married couples smelling flowers. That's what cemetaries are for! :D

This is probably my favourite shot of the update:

Her house is lovely, where did you get the miniature rock fountain/hot tub/hot spring from? I must have it. D: <3

Silly me, thinking cemeteries were for graves. Of course, I've built a church of sorts, for marriages, so I guess couples sniffing flowers is appropriate.

I love that shot too! Janine is so cute and does such cute things.

The hot tub is from HolySimoly's donation pack 2 or the booty

Ooooh, thankyou. :D

Janine is quite cute, although are you sure she was a fortune sim and not a romance? ;) I do like her a lot though, she seems very playful and adorable. Having a dance studio will fit her quite well, I think.

Sometimes I wonder! Now that I've seen how playful and cute she can be, being a dance instructor would be perfect. I'll probably do a little photoshoot of her for the studio walls.

I'm glad Janine found someone to share her life with and can now work towards her dreams of ballet stardom :D

Me, too. I'm really rooting for her to become a world-class ballerina.

I don't know what they see in that Scott Kwa, but so many sims have chemistry with him! I swear, half of the time, when I check a sims options with Twojeff's crystal ball, he's one of them.
untidyfanuntidyfan on May 3rd, 2011 03:18 pm (UTC)
Ooo... I should probably re-get that crystal ball. It was tremendously handy.

But yeah, there's something magical about Scot Kwa. Must be the one-two combo of weird nose and a hat that does them in. I don't get it. And now I've got that 70's song that goes "ooooohh, he's a magic man" stuck in my head. I don't even know most of the words.
Simlilisimlili on May 3rd, 2011 03:25 pm (UTC)
I'm lucky I don't know the song, then, so you cannot contaminate me :D
