BACC: The Fisker Family, Week Three

Gretchen was pregnant. I knew the moment she ran into the bathroom while I was bathing. She tried to deny it, but all the signs were there. I was thrilled, naturally, but Gretchen seemed a bit reserved about the ordeal.

Arik, Gretchen and I spent the first part of the week improving our skills.

When Gretchen started to show, she could no longer deny her pregnancy.

Last week, Arik met a girl named Kaylynn who looks a lot like my Gretchen. He's spending a lot of time with her. I suppose that's the Romance Sim's way. I just wish she'd style her hair a bit differently. I very nearly told Kaylynn I loved her as I was walking through the living room, thumbing through a cooking text.

Money is always tight in our household. Because of the baby on the way, I decided to take a temporary position in the business field.

Tuesday afternoon, Arik invited his new paramour over for lunch. I took her aside and explained the birds and the bees.

She applied her new knowledge that day.

Arik couldn't get her off of his mind as he went to his security officer job. Like my position in the business track, it's only temporary until he can open a club and maybe find a job as a musician.

In the third trimester of her pregnancy, Gretchen finally got excited about it.

Arik worked to improve his music enthusiasm because he believed it would make him a better performer. He's got his eyes set on owning a music lounge and becoming a "rock god."

Another day, another woman.

Wednesday night, Gretchen went into labor. Fortunately for her, our bouncing baby boy quickly.

Every proud father says his baby boy looks exactly like him, but with little Clifford, it's true!

We outfitted the nursery with a celestial theme. Maybe one day our children will explore the skies.

Our neighbor, Troy Charming, has been most helpful in rearing our children and learning about the stars. He loves science just as Gretchen and I do.

Arik's music & dance prowess hit the peak of perfection on Thursday.

Gretchen generously donated the money she garnered from selling the treasure chest to Arik's goals. She's such a supportive wife and friend. I'm one lucky fellow.

I was proud to do the honors at Clifford's first birthday. Now I can start teaching him everything I know.

He looks more like me every day!

Selling this treasure chest to collectors gave Arik the final boost in the bank account he needed to purchase his music club.

The first customer was Shelby Barrett.

And Arik was instantly smitten. Maybe it was her blond hair that wasn't in a ponytail. Maybe it was her Romance Sim magnetism.

Whatever it was, he could barely take his eyes off her.

But not everyone was there to pick up a date. Even our city's esteemed founder came to the grand opening. She didn't stay long, but then, no one did.

Clifford and Arik get along marvelously.

I was busy watching the stars for suspicious activity when I heard a little gasp from Gretchen. I looked to see her being beamed aboard a UFO. A real UFO! Can you imagine! How lucky is she!

But the last expression I saw on Gretchen's face before the ship enveloped her was one of pure fear. They wouldn't hurt her. Would they?

Arik did a wonderful job of keeping Clifford occupied while Gretchen was gone. I know Cliffy would have cried if he had noticed Gretchen wasn't there.

The aliens dumped Gretchen rather unceremoniously on our front lawn. She was very disoriented but seemed unscathed.

Clifford may look like me, but, like his mother, his true enthusiasm lies in nature. While it may not fulfill our dream of a child of ours exploring the sky, there is much he can learn about the world around him.

Gretchen is pregnant again and I'm not the father. A "pollination technician" is. I'm a tad jealous of Gretchen. She got to meet the aliens and have a half-alien baby. Maybe one day I'll get lucky like her.

Clifford seems to love the activities he and Arik shared.

I'm having a hard time relating to my son. We just don't have anything in common. Monday morning can't come fast enough.

I loooove that nursery wallpaper. Do you remember where it's from? I want to have it and use it EVERYWHERE, all of the time.

I'm looking forward to Gretchen's alien baby. :D I bet it's cute, any predictions for skin/eye colour?

The wallpaper is from MATY in one of those Stories extraction sets. I think it's the life stories found here: http://moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,12631.0.html

The baby is adorable! I've just finished week four for this household, so I don't want to spill any spoilers. But it is cute!

I'm sure Clifford and his daddy will get along as he gets older. Usually the child age is where they really start to bond! I can't wait to see what Clifford looks like as he grows up and I'm really looking forward to seeing that alien baby! Great update indeed.

You're right. Kids get to spend better quality time with the parents. I'm eager to see how he grows into his nose, and if it's more like Gretchen's or Craig's.

Thanks!

Oh, another interesting update! It looks like perhaps Arik has moved on from Gretchen but with romance sims, one never knows. And the fact he was rather involved with another girl who did look a lot like Gretchen makes one suspicious. ;p

Clifford is adorable and he does indeed look so much like his father. But I'm really interested in seeing the alien baby.

Arik finally got enough money to open his club. I do like how the pacing of the BACC makes you really work for each new advancement. I bet that makes opening a new business or a new household feel much more involved and interesting.

Thank you!

This week did not turn out how I expected at all. Gretchen and Arik steered clear of each other all week, which surprised me. Of course, they spent most of their time skilling, taking care of Clifford, and digging for treasures.

Your point about working for advancement of the city brings up a good point for me. I don't know what will happen once New Jennerican becomes more established. Hopefully I'll be so entrenched in the families I won't lose interest.

Clifford is adorable. And he really does look a lot like his dad.
I can't wait to see Gretchen's baby! I LOVE alien babies. :)

Usually clone babies irk me, but Clifford is so cute as a toddler it doesn't matter to me.

You'll probably love the next update! *tiptoes away from spoiler territory*

That picture with Gretchen rubbing her bum is a win. Her expression is so LOL! I loove to see more :)

Sims are hilarious when they get dropped off from the ship! And don't worry, there's plenty more abductions to come!
