BACC: The Charming Family, Week Three

When we last saw the Charming household, the twins were cute toddlers, Annwn bought an apple tree, and Coraline had been suffering from a persistent glow.

Monday morning came in quietly, just like the week before. Hattie was being cute, drinking from the sippy cup.

She wandered into her glowing sister's room to play with the blocks.

But when Coraline went to school, her glow had worn off. Don't ask me what did it. Troy and Annwn spent the day working in the yard.

After Coraline got home from school, she asked Annwn to help her with her schoolwork.

"And the big bad wolf said BOO!"
Carena looks truly terrorized. Big sis has been doing her job properly. Despite this, they're already friends.

The first apple harvest isn't so delectable.

It's Tuesday night, and time for the twins to grow up. Carena is first, naturally.

After Carena washes her plate, Hattie takes her turn blowing out the candles.

Hattie: Conqueror of Cakes
Love that determined look she has!

Carena's OTH may be sports, but she throws terribly. It's like she's trying to play volleyball with a baseball.

The twins rest in their new (to them) bunk beds and dream of their first day of school.

Hattie got on the bus to school without a second thought.

But the driver made Carena stop and pause.

While the girls were away at school, Troy went to the grocery store and brought the rank up to level 6.

Annwn wasn't the only one surprised when she popped for the first time. I hadn't noticed them trying for a baby or Annwn running for the toilet earlier.

I'd like to imagine that Coraline is telling her sisters what a pain in the butt is to get a new sibling.

I don't get it. Pregnant Sims can't clean litterboxes but they can handle hazardous chemical sprays? I know that in real life pregnant women should avoid cleaning the litterbox if at all possible, but they shouldn't stand around inhaling bug spray, either. /gripe (Note to self: download that hack to allow pregnant Sims to clean litterboxes)

Annwn is better prepared for the next step in the baby process.

Nifty! Troy was searching for planets, and this one has a plumbbob moon.

HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYY! Three fires! A slot in the law enforcement track is open now, and I can get fire alarms. Yay!

I feel like I should feel sorry for Annwn. She looks so terrified, but I'm having a hard time caring. A new job is available!

The girls all rolled wants for a pet, and the twins wanted a kitten specifically. So, the Charmings adopted little Allegra. The game randomly named her. I kept it because it's the beginning of allergy season here. Maybe the next pet will be named Benadryl.

Guess who takes care of sweet little Allegra? Hint: Not the ones who asked for her! Allegra seems a little cranky, too. I love cranky cats.

"WHY DID I DECIDE TO DO THIS AGAIN?!"

Troy shows his great interest in important milestones once again.

Meet wee Danni Charming. I was so hoping for a little boy! This neighborhood is already out-of-balance, gender-wise. She's another blue-eyed blonde, but with her mother's skin this time.

Resist the cute, I dare you!

The tomato crop is half mouthwatering, half edible, thanks to the SimsWardrobe sprayer. I really miss the perfect gardens hack.

Arik attempts to wander off with Allegra. Fortunately I was able to pluck her out of his hands before he left the lot, and with the help of the debug cheat, I was able to reset her so she could roam the house again.

Carena provides the valuable service of distracting townies waiting to be rung up. Annwn hasn't earned her bronze register badge yet, and if there's more than one in line, they go berserk waiting.

When they get back home, Carena and Coraline gossip about their sister. Guess we know who the third wheel is now.

Poor Allegra. Sim kids just don't know how to handle pets.

Allegra pulls another cranky face.

Coraline continually wants to train Allegra. She'll probably take the cat with her when she moves out.

Coraline tries to mend fences with Hattie by chatting about the stars until...

Jubel, the packleader, wanders up to roll in the dirt. Being the animal lover she is, Coraline goes to greet her (him?)

Troy finally maxed out his logic skill and science enthusiasm, so he's searching for a job in the science career track. He maxed out on Thursday, and by Sunday he still hadn't found the job.

I haven't checked the stats, but I suspected Danni is very outgoing because her mouth is always open when I take a picture. Sure, in this shot she's crying because she just dirtied her diaper.

And in this picture she's happy to grow up.

But do you see what I mean? Always open.
Also, will she be another glow-baby? Too soon to tell.

End of week stats:
Playables: 9
Commerical lots: 1
College fund: $3419 (Annwn will not get her lifetime want of three children graduating from college)
Population: 18 (playables x sim multiplier of 2)

Notes:

I don't think I've shared vital statistics on anyone but Annwn.

Troy wants to become a criminal mastermind. He, along with Hattie and Danni, is a Virgo. His personality distribution is 9/2/6/3/5.
Coraline loves fitness, and has a personality distribution of 2/10/9/3/6, making her a Gemini.
It was mentioned that Carena likes sports. Her personality score is 9/2/10/8/6 and she is a Cancer.
Hattie's personality is 9/2/6/6/5. She and her father both love science.
Danni's personality score is 9/2/6/2/6. Her OTH is still unknown.

I'm not sure I've seen anyone so pleased with having fires. ;)

The children are growing up rather interestingly. They each still have unique features, I think. Danni is yet another interesting mix of her parents and I'm curious to see just how she will grow into her features as she ages.

A cat named Allegra? That is great. :D And I do so enjoy cranky faced cats. She looks like she is scowling. I rather like her.

Another neat update from your hood. I'm not sure I would have the patience to play on rotation but I am enjoying following along with yours a lot. :)

This challenge really brings out the inner pyromaniac in you.

Annwn and Troy did have nice looking kids. I've already played a week ahead, and Danni does fit her features as a kid. My favorite, appearance-wise, is still Hattie.

Cranky cats are generally awesome and Allegra is no exception. She's no Icky, though.

The hardest part about a BACC is stopping after a week in moving on to the next family. But it is really fun too watch your city grow.

Danni is adorable. She looks a lot like her mom.

She is! I'm glad she got her father's hair color, otherwise she would be another clone baby. Not that I would mind a clone of Annwn.

Maybe the next pet will be named Benadryl.

It could be the delirium of my fever, but this made me laugh a lot ;D

I'm glad! :D It's cheering to know that someone gets your sense of humor, even if it requires a fever to do it.

Hope you feel better soon!

Congrats on the fire!
Arik went "all your kittuns are belong to us" on the Charmings :))) The cat grew beautiful, btw. And the girls are still cute. They also got lucky in the clothing department.

OMG PLUMBOB MOON! I'm so jealous, I never noticed, I'll have to watch out for it now :D

Thank you! I bet I'll never look at an in-game fire the same way after I finish this challenge.

Allegra is pretty, I just wish the kittens gave you a better clue as to what they'll look like as adults. But I wouldn't trade her funny faces for anything.

There's so many little hidden surprises in this game. I've been playing since the base game came out, and I just recently noticed the Freezer Bunny hiding on the top shelf in the commercial grocery fridge.
